A turquoise cover image featuring a minimalist black illustration of Goddess Durga’s face—symbolic eyes, a bindi, nose ring, and lips—centered above the title text: Awakening Shakti: A Guided Journal for Chaitra Navratri in white serif font.

This journal began as something personal.

After a heavy month, I found myself seeking reflection, grounding, and renewal. As Chaitra Navratri approached (a sacred time that marks the beginning of the Hindu lunar new year and honors nine forms of the divine feminine) I felt called to create space for myself. I wanted a way to reconnect with my spirituality, my strength, and my voice.

In the days that followed, I began noticing a theme in my sessions. Clients were expressing a similar need to release old narratives, rediscover their power, and explore healing through reflection and ritual. As these conversations unfolded, I realized this resource could support others too.

Awakening Shakti: A Guided Journal for Chaitra Navratri is the result of that inspiration. It offers nine days of gentle reflection based on the energy of each goddess honored during Navratri. While it’s rooted in tradition, this journal is for anyone drawn to deeper self-connection. There is no “right” way to use it. It is simply an offering, a gentle space to explore healing, clarity, and purpose.

Following International Women’s Day, I found myself reflecting deeply on feminine energy. In my personal and professional life, I’ve been surrounded by women who are living in alignment with their truth. Witnessing the way they uplift others through their presence and purpose has left me feeling both moved and inspired. It reminded me of the power we hold when we live our felt purpose. I hope to contribute to that energy in my own way, as this is who I am, someone who aspires to support others in wellness, who’s deeply spiritual and on her own journey.

As a therapist, the last few years have shown an overlap between my spiritual background and the tools we use in psychotherapy. So much of what we now understand in trauma training (somatic awareness, breathwork, vagus nerve stimulation) mirrors wisdom that has existed for generations. I am learning to bring more of that lens into my practice with confidence and care.

This process hasn’t been without its challenges. I have sometimes questioned whether speaking about these practices might be misunderstood. Still, I continue to return to the truth that healing is not one-size-fits-all. There are many valid ways to support wellness, and this is one of them.

I created this journal as an invitation. For those it resonates with, I hope it brings comfort, clarity, and a sense of connection. For those on a different path, I trust you’ll find what supports you best.

It is an honor to share this piece of my journey with you. Download here- Awakening Shakti A Guided Nine Nights of Renewal A Chaitra Navratri Reflection Journal
